Simon Hale is an IFMGA International Ski & Mountain Guide with over 30 years experience climbing and skiing mountain ranges all over the world.

Simon has worked at Plas y Brenin, the UK National Mountain Centre, for over 15 years, the last 12 of which as a Senior Instructor where a wealth of experience has been gained providing skills coaching, technical training and assessment.

Simon's talents in the field extend further than just technical skills, with a degree in outdoor education and environmental science, Simon has intricate knowledge of the whole mountain environment, providing frequent seminars to students at the mountain centre on various subjects of mountain ecology.

With homes in the French Alps and North Wales Simon is ideally placed to provide guiding services in the UK mountains as well as the higher alpine ranges. Simon provides quality, tailor made Mountain Guiding in the Summer and Winter.

He loves passing on skills and knowledge whilst travelling in the mountains.  During the summer Simon is available for Alpine Climbing and Mountaineering as well as rock climbing and Via ferrata across the alps.

During the winter he can offer ski tuition and off piste coaching as well as guiding across all the main resorts of the alps.  Backcountry skiing and ski touring are a real specialty, and what Simon does on his days off!

Based in the area close to Les Gets / Morzine / Flaine, Simon is well placed to visit many of the best ski areas of the alps to help folks find the best snow and ski it safely.
